Wright-Locke Farm is kicking off their 2017 speaker series by welcoming Dr. Renee Barille to speak in their beautiful 1827 Barn. Dr. Barrile will review the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the research behind them, and how the US is now giving recommendations that go above and beyond just good health and extend to dietary choices that do not burden the environment and promote global sustainability.
Renee Barrile is a Registered Dietitian and a nutrition professor at University of Massachusetts Lowell. She received her PhD from Tufts University where she studied vitamin metabolism, and now acts as the Program Director for MPH program that trains students to be public health nutritionists.
