It's that time of year again! Apple season is upon us and what to do with so many apples? Join MOFGA and our hosts at Fork Food Lab for a very special apple preservation class led by Kate McCarty, Food Systems Professional, from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
We will learn how to preserve apples by canning, freezing, and drying and each participant will get to take some of what we make home with them. Special guest, Sean Turley (Maine apple expert), will discuss some of the many heritage varieties of apples in Maine and what the best uses are for them. Apples provided by MOFGA's very own orchards!
